While acknowledging Africa’s current reliance on grain imports, AfCFTA secretary general Wamkele Mene pointed to the continent’s capable farmers in Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, and Uganda as potential partners in building a self-sufficient future. He also highlighted other opportunities and a private sector action plan at the World Economic Forum.
