VKB is opening a new flagship store in Harrismith today (30 April 2021). Spanning over 4000 square metres, the new store promises to meet all of your agricultural and grocery needs.

On launch day shoppers can expect lucky draws, multiple prizes and once-in-a-lifetime discounts. The first 100 shoppers to come through the doors will also receive a free VKB cap. To celebrate the launch, suppliers will be hosting exhibits of their products and offering shoppers spot prizes.

The VKB group has more than 50 stores across the country, with the first retail entity having opened more than 100 years ago. The new store will combine decades of retail experience with a modern and dynamic outlook. Customers who are familiar with VKB stores can still expect the usual products on offer, like fertilizers, seeds, chemicals, animal nutrition, animal health, fencing and fuel. Some of the nationwide promotions will also feature in the store.

Customers can look forward to high quality food products, as the new store has a complete VKB Food outlet in the building.

VKB stores have always centred their services and products on keeping producers sustainable and profitable, and the new store is no exception. The store balances agricultural effectiveness with an ease of access that a general consumer can also navigate. Customers can expect recognized, quality brands at competitive prices, as well as lower priced alternative options that are supported by a generous guarantee policy.

Highly trained staff are available to answer all questions and products are arranged according to department, so customers never struggle to find anything.

Hannes De Jager, from the VKB Group, confirms the customer-centred approach characteristic to the company. “We always try to make a difference in the towns we operate in. We believe the new store will make a difference in the lives of people in Harrismith, and in the lives of our farmers”.

Don’t miss out! The new store, situated at 10 Piet Retief Street, Harrismith, opens at 8:00 AM sharp on 30 April.

THE NEW FACE OF SOUTH AFRICAN AGRICULTURE

With 12 global awards in the first three years of its existence, Food For Mzansi is much more than an agriculture publication. It is a movement, unashamedly saluting the unsung heroes of South African agriculture. We believe in the power of agriculture to promote nation building and social cohesion by telling stories that are often overlooked by broader society.
