The South African agriculture sector can sometimes seem like a misnomer. In many respects, our country has two distinct sectors – the large, valuable commercial sector and the developmental sector, home to millions of producers ranging from subsistence to newly commercialised producers. Building a sustainable future for our country on this divide is sure to fail, but how can we bridge the gap faster?
