United Nations (UN) Independent Dialogues Public Forum
Held as part of the UN Food Systems Summit (UNFSS), this online independent dialogue session is centred on what the summit had accomplished and where the food systems conversation is going next. The purpose of the dialogues is to encourage tangible change across food systems.

Unpacking food affordability
Hosted by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), this webinar looks at how rural people access healthy food. It explores how affordable nutritious food actually is and brings together different perspectives on food systems and healthy food access. The webinar is a Nutrition for Growth (N4G) side event. The N4G summit is taking place next week, between 7 and 8 December.

Safeguarding biodiversity and livelihoods through a human rights lens
The Forest, Climate and Livelihood Research Network (Focali) and Swedish International Agriculture Network Initiative (SIANI) forum is hosting a global webinar on putting into practice policies that centre a human rights-based approach (HRBA) in relation to biodiversity and livelihoods.
Topics under discussion include climate change, inequality, biodiversity and “bottom-up learning”.

Growing the African soybean
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is hosting a webinar to display how their soybean variations are faring across the Pan-African Trials locations. The trials have over 111 locations in 23 countries, where new varieties of soybean are trialled.
Participants in this webinar will be able to ask direct questions to panellists, engage in opportunities to license and commercialise IITA materials, and learn more about the material performance.

The Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) has opened an invitation for lease applications in North West. In this invitation, there are six portions of land across the province available for up-and-coming farmers.
The application deadline is 2 December 2021 at 11:30.

The Department of Agriculture, Land Reform, and Rural Development (DALRRD) has opened another invitation for lease applications for land near Mahikeng in North West. In this invitation, new farmers can apply for land on the farm Kliparani.
