The week kicks off in Boksburg, Gauteng at the 28th African Commission on Agricultural Statistics, discussing all things food production on the African continent.
The Izindaba Zokudla for the Year class is set to take place this Saturday, so take the opportunity to secure your space and save the date on your calendar on Tuesday.
On Wednesday it is time for Food For Mzansi’s five-year 2024 AgriFuture SA conference, followed by Food For Mzansi’s five-year celebration gala in Pretoria, and on Thursday we have a public auction in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
We close the week off with a wine tasting in Sandton in Johannesburg on Friday.

28th African Commission on Agricultural Statistics
The Food and Agricultural Organisation, Statistics South Africa, and the department of agriculture, land reform and rural development (DALRRD), will be hosting the 28th Session of the African Commission on Agricultural Statistics. This is a platform for panelists to share ideas on the state of food and agricultural statistics in Africa. Panelists will also advise member states on the development of their agricultural statistical systems.

Izindaba Zokudla for the year class
This class is intended to serve urban farmers and is appropriate for the challenges they face. The topics under discussion include the unique value proposition of urban agriculture, producing from small areas, profit from a small urban agricultural enterprise, and more.
This event is both virtual and in-person. Please bring an ID document, passport or birth certificate to gain access to the campus.

Duly instructed by the department, the Rihlazana will have vehicles, tractors and various goods available for sale on-site.
