The week kicks off with a training session on how to prune roses during the winter in Midrand, Gauteng on Monday.
This is followed by a livestock auction in Vereeniging on Tuesday, while on Wednesday, Dawn Noemdoe, host of the weekly Gather to Grow sessions will go live on Instagram with guests in agriculture.
Thursday is for new beekeepers and hobbyists for a practical intermediate beekeeping course taking place in Midrand, Gauteng. This is followed by Food For Mzansi’s African Media Perspective weekend in Stellenbosch on Friday.
Staying with Friday, the Agricultural Development Agency (Agda) is hosting a youth in agriculture workshop in Soweto and you are invited.

Training to prune roses in winter
Join Ludwig Roses on this public holiday for an in-depth demonstration about how easy winter pruning your roses really is.
Booking is not necessary and attendance is free. Attendees will experience hands-on tips and tricks about what to do to ensure your roses flourish in winter and more.

Register for this practical beekeeping course
Bee Ware is inviting new beekeepers and hobbyists to an intermediate beekeeping course who want to grow their experience. If you’re ready to get more bee knowledge this beekeeping course is for you.
Learners that do not have bee suits or jackets of their own must hire one of Bee Ware’s for the day, which is not included in the course fee. Hire of a bee suit or jacket for the bee course is R100 extra for the day.
