Hey, there farmers! We’ll start the week off with a TV show interview focusing on agriculture, and then we head down to Bloemfontein for a Farm for the Future Day hosted by Engen and Farm for the Future on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, we have Food For Mzansi’s Gather To Grow on Instagram, where industry experts share their insights on different topics and farmers get to engage with them live.
On Thursday, we have a new agriculture project launch, where attendees can enjoy farm activities and engage with industry experts. We close the week off with a two-day Partners in Agri Solutions informative tour on projects and the annual general meeting.

Food For Mzansi Journalist on Daily Theta TV show
Sinenhlanhla Mncwango, a journalist at Food For Mzansi, will take part in the Daily Theta TV show with a focus on how FFM continues to support unsung heroes of SA agriculture particularly young farmers.
The show will also look into World Water Week focusing on how farmers are using and conserving water at their farms using boreholes and other measures taking into consideration that SA is a water-scarce country.

Former assistant agricultural practitioners will be embarking on a peaceful march after the minister of agriculture had a meeting with them. Their contracts will not be extended and they should submit their business proposals, they were told.

Partners in Agri Land Solutions (Pals) roundtable and annual general meeting in Ceres
Pals will be hosting their annual general meeting which will be addressed by minister Thoko Didiza and Agbiz economist Wandile Sihlobo, industry leaders from Hortgro Anton Rabe and Mariette Kotze. The meeting will be followed by a round-table discussion sponsored by Nedbank focusing on the topic “Partnering to take sustainable transformation and land reform to the next level”.

Frankfort Bonsmara Breeders Group Auction
The Frankfort Bonsmara Breeders Group Auction will take place on Friday, 25 August 2023 from 11:00 at the VKB auction centre in Frankfort.

125 Top Bonsmaras, consisting of:
- 25 Registered bulls.
- 100 Commercial females (in all production stages).
*Note: Tested CA-free. Gestation status will be available day of the auction. Under the auspices of the Bonsmara breeders society.
