The Emergency Summit on Climate Change and Agriculture is a crucial call to action. As climate change disrupts weather patterns and threatens crop yields, this summit unites farmers, policymakers, and innovators to confront these urgent challenges.

Tuesday 24 – 28 September
Robertson Show
As the second-largest open-air horse show in South Africa, this event features a five-day horse programme. New to their lineup is the inclusion of Boer goats, adding more diversity to our agricultural displays.
Agricultural showcases, food and craft stalls, children’s entertainment, Round Table steak evenings with live music, and the valley’s finest wines.

Afasa Free State Information Day
African Farmers Association of South Africa (Afasa) will continue with their series of information days for farmers, where they will be informed about poultry and vegetable farming. Experts and government officials will discuss what to look out for and the opportunities available to them.

Free State MEC meets young farmers
To better understand the challenges faced by young farmers in the Free State, MEC of agriculture and rural development Elsabé Rockman will engage with more than 50 young farmers across different regions in the province. Rockman will be in Bloemfontein and Bethlehem respectively.
