Heita farmers! This week will be buzzing with events to choose from. On Monday you are invited to a livestock auction. Tuesday, the Jobs Fund hosts a webinar, while Wednesday offers another informative dose of Gather To Grow.

On Thursday, BKB hosts their 44th Compion Production Sale in the Northern Cape. Friday ends with a training day on best crop and soil practices.

Monday, 31 July

Livestock on sale in Gauteng

A livestock sale will be hosted at the Devon Auction Complex from 11:00. All types of livestock are welcome.

Conditions of sale:

  • Only card, cash, or immediate electronic payments day of sale.
  • 1% Handling fee on cash payments.
  • Electronic transfer facilities.
  • Fica documentation with the registration process.
  • All goods will be sold at a reserve price and the right exists to bid by or on behalf of the owner or auctioneer.

Free training: Soil and crop planting

Livingseed’s next free training day will be hosted on Saturday, 5 August at the Livingseeds Farm in Midvaal, Gauteng.

You can expect to learn how you can increase your soil’s biological activity and grow better and healthier plants. Also on the programme is succession planting and more. All talks are free.
