As we enter Heritage Month in Mzansi, we begin this week’s calendar with exciting events. Starting the week off, is the 12th virtual summit of the World Landscape Forum, followed by an online guide on summer crops.
If you’re into pork farming, be sure not to miss the South African Pork Producers Organisation’s expo, virtually or in person. Later in the week there’s a vegetable farmer’s day and a umqombothi brewing competition.

Africa talks food security at AGRF summit
Hosted by the World Landscape Forum, this summit will focus primarily on the continental food security agenda. This year’s summit will call for accelerated action by leaders, innovators, businesses, private institutions, civil society, and development agencies to put forward bold actions and unite efforts toward the continental food security agenda.

SAPPO invites you to join their expo which will be held both virtually and physically in Tshwane. The theme of the event is “Farmers Selekt”, which will focus on the importance of telling the pork industry’s collective story.

Brewmistress South African beer invites those who make the best umqombothi to enter now. Competition entries open on 9 September and the brewing competition winner will be announced on 24 of September 2022.
