As a marketing assistant at the Food For Mzansi Group, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the business development team to execute innovative campaigns, foster engagement, and elevate our brand across diverse channels. Your responsibilities will extend to providing administrative support to the executive management team while demonstrating a keen knack for effective project management within the organisation.

Key responsibilities of the marketing assistant include:

  • Facilitating the coordination of events, workshops, and campaigns across online and offline platforms.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing marketing campaigns spanning digital, social media, and traditional channels.
  • Collaborating on content creation encompassing social media posts, articles, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Contributing to crafting comprehensive marketing reports and presentations that encapsulate essential metrics and insights.
  • Coordinating seamlessly with internal teams and external partners to ensure the successful execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Remaining abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging marketing tools or platforms.
  • Providing adept administrative support to the executive management team, encompassing meeting scheduling, document preparation, and proficient communication management.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to create compelling content.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and basic knowledge of analytics tools.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • A passion for agriculture, food, and rural development is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
