The minister of agriculture, land reform and rural development, Thoko Didiza, is currently hosting a webinar on the role of young people in agriculture. Topics addressed will include issues of land reform and opportunities for youth, and opportunities for the access of land, finance and markets.
Panellists include young farmers Ndumiso Gule, Kamohele Bombe and Nkosana Mtambo. There will also be contributions from Agbiz chief economist Wandile Sihlobo. The webinar is hosted by Dr Sifiso Ntombela, chief economist at the Agricultural Research Council.
Together, they will address issues of land reform and opportunities available for young people in terms of access to land, finance and access to markets. Also, they will share some of the many opportunities available in the sector.
