It has been a week of dry, hot and settled weather for most of South Africa and the dry weather persists for the majority of the country this weekend with another pleasant autumn weekend on the cards.
We already saw some cooler weather for KwaZulu-Natal and eastern Mpumalanga on Friday.
On Saturday, the cooler air and cloud reaches the north-eastern part of the country, resulting in a mild day for Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, KwaZulu-Natal and parts of North West and the Free State.
Dry and hot weather conditions
The KwaZulu-Natal coast can expect morning drizzle on Saturday, but other than that, dry conditions are expected across the country, with temperatures really soaring in the west.
The scorching hot temperatures persist for the western interior on Sunday and spread to the rest of the Western Cape and Eastern Cape interior.
Isolated thunder showers start to form over southern Namibia and southwestern Botswana on Saturday. On Sunday this band of thundershowers starts to extend into South Africa’s western interior in the late afternoon. Wind speeds also pick up over this part of the country in the afternoon.
