This week’s events include a Dorper farming course, a livestock sale, the 3-Day Veg Farming Training course, the Food For Mzansi Farmers’ Day in KwaZulu-Natal, the Ambermac Macadamia Expo, and the Northern Cape Farmers Market. Hey Mzansi!

As we start the new month off, let’s do so in good spirits. The week’s highlights start off with the Northern Cape Dorper course in Lucasdam farm, and on Tuesday, all roads lead to the Western Cape in Beufort-West for a livestock sale.

On Wednesday, there is a 3-Day Veg Training course in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, followed by the Ambermac Macadamia Expo in Mpumalanga on Thursday.

On Friday we head to the Northern Cape Farmers’ Market and we close the week off on high in KwaZulu-Natal for the Food For Mzansi Farmers’ Day in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday; so make you save the date!

Monday, 05 February

Northern Cape Dorper Club Jnr & Senior Dorper Course

Come to an all-Northern Cape Dorper 101 course and get back to the basics of Dorper farming.  The three-day course will explore different topics like breed characteristics, history,  standards, and more.

3-Day Veg Training

The training includes theory and practical sessions each day covering layouts, land preparation, planting, compost making, pest management, and seedling nurseries. Management and biblical keys will also be covered during the training.

Ambermacs Macadamia Expo

Ambermacs is hosting its third major two-day macadamia expo, the biggest expo of its kind, featuring over 180 exhibitors and a number of excellent guest speakers who will be hosting a series of seminars and presentations on macadamia farming and the industry in general.
