Greetings Mzansi. Even though we have come to the end of our week we have not run out of resourceful webinars, meeting and events that could benefit you.

First up we track an agri-economics webinar where a panel of professional agricultural economist will share industry knowledge and debate their thoughts on the prominence of data and analytics in their current positions.

Then deputy minister of environment, forestry and fisheries, Makhotso Sotyu and deputy minister of home affairs, Njabulo Nzuza, will visit Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District Municipality in North West to discuss the social ills in the municipality at 10:00 this morning.

Finally, the parliamentary ad hoc committee on amending Section 25 of the Constitution will visit Kimberley at 10:00 this morning for a public hearing.

1

Agri-Economist Webinar

Aspiring agricultural economists are invited to join a one and a half hour jam packed webinar featuring panellists who will share insights on careers and data application.

The theme of the webinar is “A career in agricultural economics: The importance of data, analytics, technology and digitalisation – Are we prepared?”

The webinar will be hosted by the Agricultural Economics Association of South Africa (AEASA) and will include two presenters who are earning their bread and butter as data scientists in the agricultural and macroeconomic sector. They will share their career paths and interesting agricultural and economic data applications.

A panel of professional agricultural economists and an agricultural recruiter will also debate their thoughts on the prominence of data and analytics in their current positions.

To be part of this event at no cost register before 10:30 this morning.

Minister Soytu visits North West

The purpose of the visit to the area is to work together with the leadership of both provincial and local governments in managing the implementation of the district model.

The visit will include a session where the ministers will address water, gender based violence, covid-19, economic, and job creation issues with all local mayors and municipality managers in the district.
