The wait is over! Early-bird tickets for Africa’s most anticipated gathering of young agri-leaders, the 2026 Mzansi Young Farmers Indaba, went live today. This is the chance for young farmers and agripreneurs to secure a front-row seat at the continent’s ultimate platform for learning, networking, and celebrating innovation in agriculture.
The indaba, while focused on South Africa, attracts participants from across the continent. In 2024, delegates came from 12 different countries
Next year, the event will take place on Thursday, 9 to Friday, 10 April 2026 at a soon-to-be new venue in Pretoria, drawing up to 2 000 farmers and agri-entrepreneurs from across the country. Attendees can look forward to a next-level programme that blends practical workshops, keynote sessions, and interactive discussions, alongside a lively exhibition centre showcasing the latest agri-solutions.
A few surprises along the way promise to add extra spark to the experience, says Ivor Price, the co-founder of the Food For Mzansi Group.

A game-changing agricultural experience
“The indaba is a game-changer,” adds Lethabo Mokoena, a young maize farmer who attended the 2025 event. “It’s not just about learning. It’s about meeting people who are going through the same challenges, sharing ideas, and seeing what’s possible when you combine passion with knowledge. I left inspired and ready to try new approaches on my farm.”
Early-bird tickets are limited to just 100 participants, priced at R580 – a R155 saving on the standard ticket. The offer is valid until 31 January 2026 or before the limit has been reached, but organisers warn that spots will go fast.
“The Mzansi Young Farmers Indaba is more than an event,” says Price. “It’s a launchpad for the leaders of tomorrow’s agriculture. Getting your early-bird ticket means securing access to the knowledge, networks, and inspiration that can shape your journey in this exciting sector.”
The indaba programme is designed to equip young farmers with the skills, insights, and connections they need to innovate, grow, and thrive, whether they are emerging commercial producers, agri-entrepreneurs, or community-based farmers.
The exhibition centre will also give participants the chance to explore new technology, equipment, and services first-hand, creating an immersive experience that bridges learning and practical application.
