Planning to attend the 2025 Mzansi Young Farmers Indaba? Sure, you could book a guest house or hotel nearby, but why not go all-in for the experience? Introducing Nature Nation Camp – your chance to camp at the indaba venue in Pretoria North. Think starry skies, crackling fires, and swapping farmer stories under the moonlight.
Food For Mzansi and Nature Nation Camp is excited to bring you a unique agritourism camping experience at Africa’s biggest event for young farmers. But hurry, we’re only releasing 50 tickets for the camp on Tuesday, 1 and Wednesday, 2 April at Lavender Kontrei Market.
Be prepared, though – while we won’t be roughing it entirely, camping isn’t for the farmers who prefer the soft life. It’s all about shared bathroom facilities, but don’t worry – there will be hot showers! Wa bona?
Or, as Duncan Masiwa, assistant editor at Food For Mzansi, says, “It’s not for the kings and queens of farming who prefer velvet cushions and sparkling chandeliers – it’s all about real moments and good company.”
The two- or three-day camp (depending on when you choose to check in) is perfect for those who value meaningful connections over extravagance.
Masiwa adds, “We’re excited to welcome farmers to our pop-up camp. It’s the ideal spot for those wanting to skip the Gauteng traffic after a long indaba day. It’s for anyone looking to fully dive into this once-a-year experience, connecting with young farmers and agripreneurs under the stars, gathered around a fire.”
