The exhibition floor at the 2026 Mzansi Young Farmers Indaba is filling quickly, with leading agricultural enterprises locking in their spots to engage directly with nearly 2 000 young farmers, agripreneurs, and industry decision-makers over two days.

From advanced machinery and innovative crop protection solutions to financial services and mentorship programmes, the indaba has become the definitive platform for enterprises looking to showcase products, forge partnerships, and connect with South Africa’s next generation of farming leaders.

Now in its fifth year, #FFMIndaba26 has evolved into more than just a conference. It is a high-level gathering where practical knowledge meets industry strategy. Attendees can expect an immersive programme that includes masterclasses, power sessions, and networking opportunities designed to address the real challenges and opportunities facing farmers today.

The headline partners — Land Bank, Kagiso Trust, FirstRand Empowerment Fund, and John Deere — will be on hand to provide insights, tools, and support to help young farmers grow their operations, while exhibitors across multiple sectors will showcase solutions that directly impact productivity, sustainability, and profitability.

Registrations are climbing steadily, reflecting strong interest from across the country, signalling strong interest from across South Africa and beyond its borders. The growing numbers reflect the indaba’s reputation as a national meeting point for decision-makers, innovators and practitioners in the agricultural sector.

Last year’s event drew participants from 12 countries, underlining its reach and appeal well beyond local audiences.

“People don’t just attend this indaba because it’s on the calendar. They travel because it offers real value,” says Ivor Price, managing director of the Food For Mzansi Group. “What we’re seeing in the registrations is a hunger for practical insight, honest conversations and connections that can genuinely move businesses and careers forward.”

Where innovation meets opportunity

Attendees can expect sessions covering critical business and operational topics, from financing and market access to technology adoption and sustainability practices.

Exhibitors will have direct access to this highly engaged audience through the bustling exhibition hall, offering unmatched opportunities to demonstrate products, services, and innovations that can drive farm growth. Networking sessions, masterclasses, and interactive workshops provide additional touchpoints for enterprises to build relationships with motivated young farmers who are actively seeking solutions to expand and modernise their operations.

“This year’s indaba represents a unique convergence of knowledge, opportunity, and action,” says Price.

“It is a space where young farmers gain insights from industry leaders, exchange ideas with peers, and connect with partners who can help them turn ambition into reality. For exhibitors and partners, it is an unparalleled chance to engage with a concentrated audience that is both influential and ready to invest in the future of agriculture.”

#FFMIndaba26 takes place from Wednesday, 8 to Thursday, 9 April 2026 at the Choose Life Centre in Moreleta Park, Pretoria East. Tickets are available via www.farmingindaba.com or Quicket. Last-minute exhibition opportunities are still available. Choose from premium, standard, or bespoke packages to showcase your brand.

THE NEW FACE OF SOUTH AFRICAN AGRICULTURE

With 21 global awards in the first six years of its existence, Food For Mzansi is much more than an agriculture publication. It is a movement, unashamedly saluting the unsung heroes of South African agriculture. We believe in the power of agriculture to promote nation building and social cohesion by telling stories that are often overlooked by broader society.
