Hello Mzansi, get ready, set and go for another thrilling week of events. The department of science and innovation (DSI) invites the media to the first World Science Forum (WSF) 2022, which will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, from December 6-9, 2022, with the theme “Science for social justice.”
The Swedish University of Agriculture Sciences will be virtually hosting Soil Worlds Day 2022. On Wednesday, Food for Mzansi will be hosting a Gather To Grow session via Twitter Spaces, where they will be unpacking all things agriculture. This will be followed by ASEB Summit’s Africa’s startup ecosystem builders’ summit in Sandton, and finally the BKB Christmas livestock auction in Moorreesburg on Friday.

World Soil Day 2022: “Where food begins”
This online event is hosted by the Swedish University of Agriculture Sciences. This year’s World Soil Day highlights the significance of good soils for agricultural productivity. The department of soil and environment invites stakeholders and colleagues to a full-day event with informative presentations and discussions on research. The programme has engaging discussions on soil nutrients, water management in agricultural soils, the impact of soil compaction to our food supply, and a great deal more.

World Science Forum: South Africa
The department of science and innovation (DSI) welcomes the media to the inaugural World Science Forum (WSF) 2022, which will be held from 6 to 9 December in Cape Town under the subject “Science for social justice.”
A schedule with 28 theme sessions covering issues such as climate change, science for human dignity, the sustainable development goals, science for Africa, and scientific diplomacy has been designed.
