Hello farmers! We have an exciting week planned for you. We start it all in Bloemfontein at the climate-smart livestock farming conference, aimed at providing smart ways to reduce food insecurity. The 10th Samm Yam Ram Sale follows this in Standerton, Mpumalanga.
On Wednesday we have your very own Food For Mzansi’s Gather To Grow on Instagram Live, and on Thursday we have an SA Wine Pruning Competition in Paarl, Western Cape.
On Friday we close off with a second livestock sale in Potchefstroom, North West.

Climate-smart Livestock Farming for Sustainable Food Security
Join Empire Conferencing as they embark on a three-day intensive conference and study tour on improved strategies for raising livestock for sustainable food security. Supporting livestock farming development in South Africa is primarily intended to generate income and meet the growing demand for animal sources of protein for South Africa’s growing population.

Agro Energy Fund launch
Minister Thoko Didiza together with Land Bank officials will launch an Agro Energy Fund to assist farmers with the heavy burden they carrying over the power cuts that have crippled the country’s economy.
The fund has been established to provide funding support for the acquisition of alternative energy assets, to alleviate the impact of loadshedding within the agriculture sector.

All types of livestock are welcome at the Auction Grounds in Potchefstroom.
Conditions of sale:
- Only card, cash, or immediate electronic payments day of the sale
- 1% Handling fee on cash payments
- Electronic transfer facilities.
- Fica documentation with the registration process. All goods will be sold at a reserve price and the right exists to bid by or on behalf of the owner or auctioneer.
