The agriculture sector never stops, not even in pandemic times. This week, you can take part in online livestock auctions and webinars, and you can even take a course on using drones in farming! Here’s a rundown of informative agriculture events and opportunities for the next seven days. E-mail info@foodformzansi.co.za to have your event added to our weekly calendar.

Happy Monday, Mzansi!  It’s a work-from-home type of week this week, with most in-person gatherings cancelled due to our new lockdown regulations.

Not to worry, though. You can still get loads done this week online, starting with a course on drone technology in precision agriculture. Offered by Drone Safety Legal and the University of Pretoria, the course explores the various ways you can use drones to improve your farming.

Food systems is still a hot topic in the agriculture sector, with Tuesday’s webinar from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) exploring how aquaculture can be used as a solution to food inequality.

Check out the calendar on Food for Mzansi’s homepage as well as this weekly article, published every Monday, for more information on informative, useful, and even lucrative opportunities in the agriculture sector. Email info@foodformzansi.co.za to add your event to the calendar.

THE NEW FACE OF SOUTH AFRICAN AGRICULTURE

With 12 global awards in the first three years of its existence, Food For Mzansi is much more than an agriculture publication. It is a movement, unashamedly saluting the unsung heroes of South African agriculture. We believe in the power of agriculture to promote nation building and social cohesion by telling stories that are often overlooked by broader society.
