What is a week without Food For Mzansi’s Gather To Grow? So, do the right thing and remember to set your reminder for this week’s edition, and stay tuned for excellent farming content! On the same day, stay tuned for an Ecosystem Services of Regenerative Organic Agriculture Practices Webinar.

On Thursday, there is a Sappo AGM taking place in Irene. The week closes off with spring fun to celebrate the beginning of a new season and month.

Ecosystem Services of Regenerative Organic Agriculture Practices Webinar

Sometimes, organic alone is considered as standard for food production, while regenerative agriculture is an adaptive management approach that is supported by soil health principles. Regenerative organic agricultural practices incorporate management principles focused on land management to sequester soil carbon and prioritise farm animals’ welfare and fairness for farmers and workers.

This presentation will discuss its services such as soil nutrient cycling, carbon sequestration, abundant microbial communities, and healthy crop production.

THE NEW FACE OF SOUTH AFRICAN AGRICULTURE

With 15 global awards in the first four years of its existence, Food For Mzansi is much more than an agriculture publication. It is a movement, unashamedly saluting the unsung heroes of South African agriculture. We believe in the power of agriculture to promote nation building and social cohesion by telling stories that are often overlooked by broader society.
