What if farm waste could become a reliable source of energy and income? This is one of the key questions underpinning Bio360 Africa, hosted by BioEnergy Events & Services (BEES) on 17–18 June 2026 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

The event will bring together over 60 exhibitors and more than 1 000 participants from 25 different countries, connecting producers, technology providers, policymakers, and investors from across Africa and internationally.

This is not a first-time initiative, but the extension of over 20 years of experience in delivering leading bioenergy events globally. As the organiser of Bio360 Europe, a reference event for the bioenergy and bioeconomy sector bringing together more than 400 exhibitors and 5 000 participants annually, BEES now introduces this proven platform to the African market.

Organised in partnership with the Southern African Biogas Industry Association, Bio360 Africa will focus on practical, scalable solutions across the bioenergy value chain, including:

  • Biogas and biomethane
  • Biochar
  • Biomass for heat and power
  • Waste-to-energy
  • Clean cooking solutions
  • Liquid biofuels (biodiesel and bioethanol)

A central focus of the event is the valorisation of agricultural residues, transforming farm and agro-processing waste into local energy, while supporting soil health and creating additional value streams for producers. These solutions are particularly relevant for sectors such as dairy and agriculture, where waste management and energy costs are key operational considerations.

Key highlights include:

  • International exhibition: A showcase of technologies unlocking value from bioresources
  • Conference sessions: Expert insights on advanced fuels, carbon management, and emerging bioeconomy trends
  • Study tours: Field visits demonstrating bioenergy solutions in real-world environments
  • Innovation showcase: Applications of bio-based molecules across sectors, including construction, packaging, and pharmaceuticals

More than a showcase, Bio360 Africa is designed as a business and knowledge platform, connecting stakeholders across the value chain and facilitating concrete opportunities for collaboration and investment.
