Many farmers believe that quality crops start with quality seeds. But what exactly makes a seed “quality”?

In this podcast episode, we delve into the crucial role of seed quality in farming success. Selecting the right seed variety can help farmers manage environmental stresses such as drought and disease, and enhance crop resilience and yields.

Kobus van Huyssteen, technical manager at the South African Seed Organisation (SANSOR), shares valuable advice on the importance of choosing high-quality seeds.

He says, “It’s important that when buying seed, farmers make an informed choice to get the right variety that will manage environmental stresses the best or that has resistance to diseases.”
