The stage is set, and the countdown has begun. Agri’s Got Talent (AGT) 2025 has unveiled its top 10 finalists, and among them are two voices for whom this journey is nothing short of life-changing. It is a chance to rise above their circumstances and to finally let their voices soar.
Among the top 10 are Sandeline Mouers of Boplaas 1743 in Simondium and Mervin Williams of DGB in Wellington in the Western Cape, whose hidden talent is about to be unveiled on one of agriculture’s biggest stages.
Mouers lets her heart sing
For Mouers, singing isn’t just about performing; it is like a prayer that brings comfort and gives her hope. Working as a general farmworker, she never imagined she would one day be standing among South Africa’s brightest hidden talents.
She first heard about AGT from former winner Chester Fisch, whose story planted a seed of possibility in her heart. “I thought to myself, let me take a chance and see where I end up,” she recalls.
That step of faith brought her news that she had made it into the top 10.
Even though Mouers feels a bit nervous, she is mostly excited. Gospel music has always been close to her heart and has kept her grounded. She grew up listening to it, inspired by stars like Donnie McClurkin and CeCe Winans.
“I love gospel. I grew up with it, and it has shaped who I am,” she shares. “I’m very excited to be part of the Agri’s Got Talent top 10. What I’m looking forward to are the new opportunities that lie ahead.”
With humility, she credits her faith and her support system.
“I thank God for the chance He has given me. I am so grateful to my husband, my children, my family, and the people of Boplaas who always motivate me to rise above my circumstances and support me in everything I do,” Mouers says.

Williams finds his stage
For Williams, stepping into the AGT spotlight feels like destiny. He first heard about the competition from a past participant, Arno du Toit, but missed the entry deadline. This year, he made sure not to let the chance slip away.
“This is my first time entering a competition. Agri’s Got Talent is a great platform for young talent,” he says.
When he learned he had been selected as one of the top 10, Williams was stunned. “I was a little surprised when I heard the news. I must admit I’m nervous, but I’m looking forward to being on stage.”
Williams has been singing for as long as he can remember. He found his voice in church and later performed at small community events. He loves R&B and soul, especially Brian McKnight and Boyz II Men, but he also enjoys Adele’s songs and gospel music.
“It was in church where I found my voice,” he reflects. “It has always been my dream to be a professional singer. There are so many opportunities out there.”
What excites him most is the growth that lies ahead. “I’m looking forward to vocal training and stage performance coaching. It’s something I’ve been searching for, and this is a golden opportunity to receive it.”
The road to the finale
The 2025 finalists will gather in Paarl from 14 September for a week of transformation, leading up to a dazzling finale at Nooitgedacht Estate, Stellenbosch, on 19 September.
During the week, Williams, Mouers and their fellow contestants will receive professional voice coaching, stage performance training, and guidance in personal growth, including communication skills, confidence-building, financial literacy, and conflict resolution.
By the end of the week, they will be ready not just to perform, but to inspire. On the night of the finale, they will share their voices, stories, and dreams in front of a live audience.
