This week we have our third leg of the Food For Mzansi AgriCareers Roadshow and all high schools are invited. Our first session for the week is all the way in the Northern Cape.
On Tuesday, the AFMA-SAAHA Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Workshop in Gauteng takes place.
This is followed by our second Agricareers session in the Western Cape, and on the same day we have our usual Instagram Live date for a Food For Mzansi Gather to Grow Session.
On Thursday, we can look forward to the prestigious SA Dairy Championship Awards in the Western Cape and the week closes off in KwaZulu-Natal for Farming Goats for Markets training.

Northern Cape AgriCareers
The Northern Cape segment of AgriCareers will witness the participation of numerous students from schools across the region, joining sessions facilitated by Food For Mzansi. These students will have the opportunity to explore various career paths within the agricultural sector, including roles such as agronomists, bookkeepers, journalists, food scientists, dairy scientists, and numerous others.
Experts from various institutions will provide guidance to students on selecting the most suitable subject combinations to pursue their desired careers in agriculture.

AFMA-SAAHA Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Workshop
The workshop will provide stakeholders with a comprehensive overview of AMR trends and initiatives, facilitating knowledge exchange, enhancing interactions, and encouraging collaboration among participants. It aims to deepen our collective insight into AMR’s complexities.
This workshop is designed for stakeholders from the animal health sectors, including producers, suppliers, manufacturers, researchers, veterinarians, and policymakers.

Western Cape AgriCareers
Hundreds of pupils from schools across the Western Cape are encouraged to attend sessions organised by Food For Mzansi as part of the AgriCareers initiative. During these sessions, students will be introduced to a wide range of career opportunities within the agricultural sector, including roles such as agronomists, bookkeepers, journalists, food scientists, and dairy scientists, among others.
Speakers representing different institutions will offer guidance to students on selecting the most appropriate subject combinations to align with their career aspirations in agriculture.

SA Dairy Championship Awards
The SA Dairy Championships aim to recognise and reward the quality of dairy products. This contributes significantly to promoting excellence in the dairy industry and elevates the profile of the industry amongst consumers.
The growing number of entries is a clear indication of the high level of confidence dairy processors have in the Championships and is confirmed by the high number of more than 900 entries from around 70 producers annually.
