Calling all high school learners across South Africa! Here is your chance to attend the 2024 edition of the AgriCareers roadshow, hosted annually by Food For Mzansi. Now in its fifth year, this series of provincial events is set to reach 20 000 learners.
Every year, a different school has the honour of hosting the provincial event. Organisers have released the dates and venues for this year, and schools are now encouraged to register the attendance of learners in grades 8 to 12.

“AgriCareers isn’t just about farming,” says Food For Mzansi co-founder Ivor Price. “It is your ticket to exploring exciting fields like science, coding, accounting, journalism, and more! Geared towards broadening your horizons and helping you discover your passions, this roadshow promises an immersive and eye-opening experience.”
High schools in Gauteng
The AgriCareers roadshow in Gauteng aligns with the Mzansi Young Farmers Indaba on Thursday, 4, and Friday, 5 April at Lavender Kontrei Market in Pretoria North. Learners can choose from two daily sessions: 09:00 to 11:00 or 12:00 to 14:00.
During these sessions, they will have the opportunity to meet young professionals representing a diverse range of careers, including a plant scientist, farmer, and drone pilot. Additionally, attendees can explore the indaba exhibition area and immerse themselves in the livestock area featuring cattle, sheep, goats, and agricultural machinery.

Note: In Gauteng, schools can choose to attend one of two daily sessions: 09:00 to 11:00 or 12:00 to 14:00. The Northern Cape will only have one session: from 13:00 to 15:00. In all other provinces, schools can choose attend one of two daily sessions: 08:00 to 11:00, or 12:00 15:00.
