Unathi Sihlahla

Unathi Sihlahla is executive director of INMED South Africa and a development practitioner with more than two decades of experience in community development across Southern Africa. He specialises in community mobilisation, food security, climate-smart agriculture and gender-responsive programming. Before joining INMED, he spent 13 years in government, building cross-sector partnerships and coordinating complex programmes that expanded opportunities for small-scale producers. He holds a master’s degree in social change and development from the University of Newcastle in Australia and a bachelor’s degree in agricultural extension and rural development from the University of Fort Hare.
