Nampo Cape 2025 is returning to Bredasdorp Park with a fresh wave of innovation, entertainment, and agricultural excellence. Taking place from 10 to 13 September, this year’s expo promises an enriched visitor experience, from aerial views and livestock exhibitions to thrilling sports and culinary treats.
Dirk Strydom, managing director of Nampo, said Nampo Cape continues to grow in significance as a platform where innovation, tradition and agricultural excellence come together.
“Together with Bredasdorp Park NPC, we are proud to offer a refreshed experience that connects farmers, agri-professionals, and families with the cutting-edge developments shaping our sector’s future,” he said.
To accommodate the growing number of attendees, Bredasdorp Park has expanded parking by an additional seven hectares on the northwestern side, bringing the total to 13 hectares. A newly added entrance near the Neptune Hall will streamline access and traffic flow for all visitors.

A first for Nampo Cape, the Western Cape Lubricants Arena will showcase the equestrian sport of tent pegging, featuring a riveting international competition between South Africa and Australia. This fast-paced spectacle is set to be one of the event’s top attractions.
The Landbank livestock tent has been relocated and expanded near the BKB Livestock Centre, now hosting 35 exhibitors. The lineup includes new additions such as Île-de-France, Suffolk, and Persian sheep breeds, alongside Limousin and Chianina cattle.
Overberg Aviation will offer scenic helicopter rides, ranging from 3 to 30 minutes, in Bell 206 Jet Rangers or Robinson R44 aircraft. This provides a bird’s-eye view of the expo grounds and the picturesque Overberg landscape.
Merino SA brings back the prestigious BKB Merino Classic on 11 and 12 September, with over 300 entries expected from both commercial and stud breeders. For the first time, the BKB National Merino Fleece Show will debut, highlighting the exceptional quality of South African Merino wool.
Visitors now have the option to stay on-site in luxury or standard tented accommodation. Catering to up to 150 guests, the offering includes private parking, 24/7 security, a chill tent, and designated ablution facilities. A minimum four-night stay is required, and bookings can be made through Antoinette Events at admin@antoinetteevents.co.za.
Saturday, 13 September will host the Western Cape Championship of the South African Boerboel Breeders’ Society, featuring 100 registered Boerboels competing in the Western Cape Lubricants Arena. Visitors can also learn more about this iconic breed in the Landbank Livestock Tent.
The former Neptune Hall is now the Neptune Deli, a haven of fine food and drink featuring wine, dried fruit, olives, and artisanal goods. The popular Napier Garden Café will remain in the same spot, offering refreshments and rest.
Agricultural insights and strategy sessions
Key agricultural organisations, Grain SA, Vinpro, the Red Meat Producers’ Organisation, and the Milk Producers Organisation, will hold strategy sessions in the Santam Auditorium. SA Studbook will lead focused discussions on breeding for dairy, beef, and small stock excellence.

This year’s programme includes a specialised seminar on protected vegetable production, which will explore sustainable water management, soilless farming innovations, integrated pest and disease management, precision farming and greenhouse technology, as well as strategies for empowering new-era farmers.
