Majokweni-Qwalela says, “There are many causes to disease and the aspects at play [is called a] host which will be the animal, [and] an agent that will cause the disease, [including] the environment.”
The pivotal role in implementing biosecurity measures on a farm lies with the employee. Majokweni-Qwalela says biosecurity encompasses multiple dimensions and while geographical constraints may limit certain actions, there are structural and procedural factors to consider, which is where employees have considerable influence.
