It's a new month, and agricultural events to look for include Agritec Africa in Joburg, North-West University is hosting a farmers' day, an aquaponics course by Agri Skills Transfer, and a Dormer auction in Kroonstad

Plant varieties for aquaponics systems are selected based on nutrient demand, growth rate, and market potential. Herbs, lettuces, tomatoes, peppers and chillies tend to do well in the system.

Food For Mzansi will be hosting our popular Mzansi Young Farmers Indaba on Wednesday and Thursday, 8 & 9 April. The event attracts nearly 2 000 farmers, agro-processors, and industry leaders over two days.

NWU Agriculture Farmers’ Day

Livestock Auction

The annual production sale of Johanri Dormers will take place on Saturday, 7 February 2026, from 11:00 at Bloekombos Venue in Kroonstad.
