If you’re headed to this year’s Nampo Cape, you must be just as excited as the rest of South Africa’s agricultural community. But be warned, organisers of the much-anticipated agricultural expo say it is going to be a cold and windy week.
“We’re ready for action,” says Du Toit Wessels, assistant manager: marketing and Nampo. “The park is ready and the exhibitors are pouring in. We are very excited and expect a big turnout. But it’s just cold and windy.”
Those attending the expo staged at the Nampo, Bredasdrop Park in Bredasdrop, Western Cape, can expect clear skies for most of the week with temperatures ranging between 15 and 18 degrees Celsius. Bring a jacket!
Despite the weather, Wessels says, “There is so much to be excited about and look forward to at Nampo Cape. Farmers will be exposed to the latest technology.”
Food For Mzansi and Land Bank are just as excited to host farmers at the highly anticipated lunchtime conversation series.
The discussions, which include a light lunch, will be held at the Western Cape department of agriculture’s tent at Nampo Cape. It promises to be an insightful and engaging experience for farmers, wine-brand owners, and anyone interested in the future of South Africa’s agriculture sector.
