I am marrying an amazing woman. We have been in a relationship for 10 years and have a daughter together. We had our bachelor and bachelorette parties a week apart. The one rule we made was to bring no evidence from these nights into our home.
I mean, we all know what happens at these things, and I genuinely did not want to know. Her friend posted a story of my future wife getting a lap dance from a gentleman while they were out for drinks. Seeing this has made me feel insecure. I told her this and she said that there is nothing to hide. Am I overreacting? We still have to get married. We are business owners and farm with chickens.

Those mind intruders make you feel feel anxious and unhappy, and may cause you to question things that, up until this point, you may have felt pretty secure about. Also, the fact that you’re experiencing doubts at all can add another layer of anxiety, making you feel like there must be something seriously wrong.
Let it go or seek help
While the fact that your fiancée brought home “souvenirs” is a bummer, you are going to have to make a choice. Do you trust her? Let it go and let flow, or visit your local shrink. Because without trust, your relationship will not survive.
If this has truly affected your self-esteem, you may have to add one more item to the cost of your big I-do’s with some therapy sessions to help you straighten out your thinking nana.
