The women’s programme at Nampo Cape 2026 is expanding to offer a dedicated space centred on inspiration, lifestyle, faith, music, and community spirit.

Hosted in the Distinctive Choice tent at Bredasdorp Park from Wednesday, 9 September to Friday, 11 September 2026, the Santam Agriculture Women’s Programme carries the theme, “Where farmers, food and community grow together”.

While curated primarily around topics appealing to women across the rural and agricultural sector, organisers have noted that men are equally welcome to join all scheduled sessions.

Expanded space for high-demand sessions

To accommodate growing visitor interest, this year’s setup features a larger marquee on the lawn near the BKB building, alongside an external large screen for additional viewing.

Organisers emphasise that the gathering aims to provide a welcoming retreat where attendees can connect over shared experiences.

Program organiser Burre Burger highlighted that the expo serves as more than a commercial showcase.

“Nampo Cape is about more than exhibitions and innovation; it is also a gathering place for the people who drive agriculture, food culture and community life forward. This programme brings those stories to the stage in an uplifting and accessible way,” Burger said.

Three-day lineup with talks and entertainment

Master of ceremonies Beneschke Janse van Rensburg will guide the daily agenda, supported by main sponsor Santam Landbou alongside partners CFAO Toyota, Bredasdorp Park, Afgri, Grain SA, Efficient Group, Lift, Distinctive Choice, and B-Promotions.

To help visitors plan their time at Bredasdorp Park, organisers have structured a packed schedule featuring talks, live entertainment, and lifestyle demonstrations across all three days:

  • Wednesday, 9 September: Opening remarks by Beneschke Janse van Rensburg, followed by a discussion on shifting perspectives with Sumarie Jordaan. The session continues with live country music from Chris Else and wraps up with “Womanhood and other dramatic stories” presented by Mel the Storyteller alongside Damien Beer.
  • Thursday, 10 September: Starts with Lynette Beer presenting “Seeds of inspiration”, followed by a culinary feature titled “Seafood on the farm” with Dawid Botha, and closes with a musical performance by Brendan Peyper.
  • Friday, 11 September: Features an interview with Koben Hofmeyr on “I walk again”, musical entertainment by Franna Benade, and Willem Botha’s interactive segment “Get ready, it is the weekend.”

THE NEW FACE OF SOUTH AFRICAN AGRICULTURE

With 21 global awards in the first six years of its existence, Food For Mzansi is much more than an agriculture publication. It is a movement, unashamedly saluting the unsung heroes of South African agriculture. We believe in the power of agriculture to promote nation building and social cohesion by telling stories that are often overlooked by broader society.
