Food For Mzansi, together with Overberg Suid-Kaap, will have a farmworkers’ day to equip workers with knowledge and skills to better themselves in their line of duty. The farmworkers’ days will take place on 22 September at Bredasdorp Park, and on 23 September at Roodebloem.

RPO Conference
Producers, industry leaders and agricultural professionals will gather at The Capital Menlyn Maine in Pretoria on Thursday, 13 August for the 2026 RPO Conference under the theme “Be future proof”. The programme will focus on future-ready grazing systems, production principles and changing market dynamics, with producers sharing practical lessons and insights to help strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of South African livestock farming.

Livestock Auction
The Blouberg, Sanleo & Lila Simbra’s auction will take place on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, from 11:00 at the auction grounds in Warden.
On offer:
- 30 Top Simbra bulls
- 70 Top female cows (in/with calf)
Note: All animals are vaccinated against foot-and-mouth-disease. Animals CA and Trich free. Animals inoculated against all prevalent diseases. Bulls have been tested for fertility; certificates will be available. Transport and insurance are available. Catalogue information will be available on the day of sale. Auction will take place according to the Simbra Cattle Breeders Society rules.

Sip, Snack and Yoga on the Farm
Embo Farmstead in Meyerton, Gauteng, will host a morning of yoga, wine and farm-style hospitality on Saturday, 8 August, offering visitors a chance to relax in a countryside setting. Stellenbosch Wine Festival
South Africa’s oldest wine festival returns to the historic Stellenbosch Town Hall on Friday, 31 July and Saturday, 1 August, bringing together more than 60 wine producers and over 200 wines under one roof.
