Food For Mzansi is going to host a series of farmers’ days across the country. The farmers’ days are aimed to equip farmers with knowledge, skills and transfer of information. It is also an opportunity to bring decision makers and funders closer to rural farming communities.
We will kick off in the Eastern Cape on 24 April 2026 in Tsolo, followed by Bela Bela in Limpopo on 20 May, and Cullinan in Gauteng on 22 May.

Livestock Auction
A livestock auction will take place in Winburg in the Free State. Farmers and sellers are encouraged to attend the auction.

Thursday 16 April
Hortgro Symposium
The Hortgro Technical Symposium 2026 is designed to help producers navigate this complexity with clarity, science and practical insight. The symposium comprises a business/ strategy day and two technical days, from 25 to 27 May. There will also be a pome fruit field day on 28 May at EGVV and a stone fruit seminar and orchard walk on 29 May in Simondium.
This five-day symposium brings together local and international thought leaders, scientists, economists, policymakers, researchers, advisors, industry stakeholders and producers to examine the issues shaping the future of pome and stone fruit and to share solutions that work in the orchard.
